Coming soon to an ORV area to you! Have you read the latest from Gifford Pinchot National Forest? They are proposing Recreational Fees for Camping and Recreating in the GP NF. Proposed Fees are $10 for multi-day and $100 for Seasonal.
Blue Lake ORV and Cat Creek OHV are included in this plan.
How Does This Affect Me: This is just a glimpse into what is coming. Our two wheeled friends have already lost access to a major trailhead on the Southside in this area. Camping areas in the GP NF that used to be free, will be fee based.

You guys out west, fight as hard as you can for trail and property access. Living in the east coast or Midwest, we can tell you all about what happens when all your wheeling is on private property. It’s not bad, per se, but the opportunities aren’t as great either.

Are there an places to wheel that you don’t have to pay? URE pay to wheel, outer banks pay to get sand on your tires. Same with AL and GA

Yes. Having lived out east and done the private land wheeling stuff we are spoiled out here. But it's the idiots/assholes who ruin it for everyone. And then a lack of support for the organizations that are fighting for us. Kind of like the threads about joining a club. Being in a club is more than just wheeling buddies.

The PNW4WDA & WOHVA both fight locally here. Blue Ribbon & United 4WD fight nationally.

In Michigan, there are still some trail systems open to Jeeps. Few and far between, but we do have some two tracks and the state maintains silver lake state park and Drummond island, both of which are technically free after you pay for your orv and trail permits

Just paid land use fees for Mtn bike in OR. Sisters does have a fantastic riding area. They also have a bike shop that serves some of the best beers in the NW. Cool blues festival too, last weekend!
