Okay so recently my o2 sensors went bad. My mechanic went ahead and replaced 2 of them with some horrible off brand sensors. While it did fix the CEL, it made my Jeep slug and I could just tell something was wrong. Upon reading more I saw everyone saying get the NTK/NGK brand ones. So I did, all four. Today I replaced them and then went to start the Jeep but it wouldn't start. Cranks and cranks but won't turn over. I checked battery, starter, alternator. They seemed fine. Then I thought hmm let me reset the PCM. I did that, and it fired right up.
I don't know why this happened. I would like some possible explanation if anyone has it as to why it turned on when I reset the PCM. I genuinely don't understand. I use this Jeep a lot at the moment and would not like to have it leave me stranded somewhere.
The only thing I could think of is maybe my PCM is fried? It looks really worn on the outside (don't know about the inside)
