That is a sub console. A non-sub wouldn't have the speaker hole. Unless it changed at some point during production..

Not necessarily, My 03 came with a non-sub console, but still had the speaker grill cutouts on it.

My '06 as well has the speaker cutout, but has the deep inner console. It did not come with a console sub.
