I remember doing this trail back in the 80's when I had a Toyota 4x4 P/U always a fun trail.
Plans got changed and it turns out my stepdaughter isn't coming down until Sunday. If I play my cards right I'll meet you guys at the Kwik Serv Saturday.
That would be great, keep us up to date so we know

Which KwikServ? Is that the Bear Valley Gas Station?

If everyone is coming up Saturday morning thru Angles Camp a good spot to meet up might be at the Kwik Serv in Arnold they have gas and a small market for snacks, drinks, ice, scotch, etc. Its takes about the same amount of time from the Kwik Serv to Slick Rock as it is to Deer Valley just about an hour +/-
So the big question is what time to meet up 8:00 or 8:30 I will already be up in Arnold so it makes no difference to me, but I don't know how far you all are driving so you guys tell me.

it's about 40 - 45 minutes up to Bear Valley the last stop for gas. Indy not sure how much that V8 drinksbut if you need more gas this would be the place to get it. And then about 20 + minutes to Hermit Valley where the trail starts

If anyone is campingFriday night Hermit Valley Camp Ground is a dry camp and no services.

I am working on it too. Looking a “little” more likely. Is everyone doing out and back on the trail or driving the road back?
from Blue lakes I'm going home, if we ran it the other way I was going to double back.

I'm super glad to see you guys getting out and doing these trips! It's what I was hoping for when I created this thread. I'll get out with ya'll eventually, as soon as adulting calms down in my corral. In the mean time, please keep the photos coming so I can drool on my keyboard!

My buddy will not be making it his daughter is in the hospital so he will be staying home.

Happy your making itLet's meet you at the Bear Valley Station, most likely it will take us about 45 min from the time we leave. We are meeting at 8:30 =/- so look for us around 9:15 - 9:30
