California NorCal Jeep adventures!

I am planning a trip to run the signal peak trail and hope to Basecamp at Cisco Grove campground. Probably late August, early September. It'll be a Friday thru Sunday trip, with trail run on Saturday. Maybe run part of Fordyce. Just in the planning stages if anyone wants to get together for this.

Hard to pass on a run that close to me. Let me know when you have a date.

Keep me posted and will just have to see. It‘s about 60-70 minutes from me.

Hi ya’ll. I’m from southern Oregon, which you may recall is right next to northern CA. I’ve been talking to @Alex01 about a Rubicon trip September 22-24. He suggested throwing the idea out to this group as some of you may have interest. So, anybody up for that?

Hey Woodrow! Good to hear from ya!

I used to be close to you in Canby Ca. Klamath Falls was once a month shopping trip for us, cuz they have all the stores!

You close to Klamath?

It would be my run on that trail, too.

The ‘con’s been on my bucket list for years, and I’ve been waiting for the NorCal guys to get together and do a run there.

Bobthetj03 is talking about doing another great place, Fordyce, here pretty soon. Or part of it at least. You might wanna think about that one too!

Fordcye is significantly more difficult than the rubicon. You also need to check forcyce creek cfs before going because if it's too high you won't be able to cross the river.

If the outflows are too high you can always begin at Meadow Lake and head down winch hills 5, 4 and 3. Have lunch and come back up.
Anyways, I’ll be crabbing in Oregon on the weekend you have scheduled. I watch this thread, so if the date changes...

Well, Cisco Grove campground is closed apparently, so the next best place that will fit my beast of an RV is Donner Lake. Looks like a 30 minute drive to the trail from there.
