I strongly favor the notion of the Beaufort NC option.
I happen to be a veteran surfer (25+ years in the water - on both Left and Right coasts--to include surfing the Outer Banks, Wrightsville Beach, Carolina Beach (NC), and Folly Beach (SC). And so, my position is somewhat biased.
However, in the much
larger scheme of things; I believe we're transitioning into a mini ice age--wholly
contrary to what the Globalists have convinced the mindless-masses of, with respect to "Climate Change" - to include tens of millions of $$$ in pay-out's to "scientists" who propagate their cause. My case it point: the Winter's over the past 5 years have become increasingly
colder (say, how's the weather today, in Ohio?).
Beaufort wins that one.
With the above in view, you can expect the Winter in 2019/2020 to be even
colder than this one--a steady pattern I've observed, again, for over 5 years now.
In Beaufort and the surrounding area/region, you are of course subject to hurricanes. Not a problem, just keep your "bug-out-bags" at-the-ready, keep your insurance current, and plan to catch "Clean-Up Day" - the day after a hurricane marches through--when the waves are still pumping (BIG)--and are much cleaner in shape and form
. I'd keep a 7'-10" Hybrid and an '8-7" Mini-Longboard handy.
Then, there's the
economic part of this equation: I believe we're laterally sliding-into a
figurative "ice age" with respect to the economy--
combined with social and civil unrest--a collision or collective crescendo within the next 24 months, which will equate to the most tumultuous season nationally, in your lifetime. With this element in view, one must consider the element of physical safety and security. In this regard, the Beaufort area wins, in my book, hands-down.
Then again, there's guys like me, surfer or not, who go where they're "called" to go — to places which wholly defy the above reasoning
P.S. Just between you and me and the fence post; "Global Warming" is about Global
Governance - a picture is worth a thousand words (below):
