Hi everyone,

We've decided to start taking a proactive approach on this forum and begin answering questions.

If you are unaware who we are, Novak Jeep Conversions is a stateside company started in 1967. We are in Logan, UT.

We handle tons of conversions: GM, AMC, Ford: Here's a link to our website: https://novak-adapt.com/index.htm

We will begin posting answers to common questions, and we will also begin making some in depth Youtube videos to help with these common questions.

In the meantime, if you have any questions, give us a call: 435-753-2513 or post your question, and we will answer it here so it helps everyone.

Have you started developing anything for the current generation 4.3 LV3 and LV1 engines? I currently run your LS mounts and also have a set of Novak engine plates that are for the Gen V LT engines, and I think this is something that would be easy to develop around by either tweaking your current frame horn design or utilize the current design of the frame horns and change the design of the plate.

I'm glad to see you here... I'm personally in the planning stage of a 4.0 stroker into JL Wrangler conversion. I'm sure I will have many questions, some of which you no doubt could help with.

That's AWESOME!! Thanks for using some of our current products.

We did just his when we looked at the GenV. We got an engine in here, mapped it, and began designing and implementing products.

We have not yet done this with some of the new V6 Engines. Give us a hot minute so we can get those started. ... I doubt it's going to be too long.

Im looking forward to it! When I compared the engine mounting locations between an LV3 V6 and L83 V8 I had lying around it seems like all thats needed is shifting the frame horn rearward 2.62in or move the isolator mount hole on the block side plate forward on the same 2.62in to keep the transmission in the same location as its V8 counterpart.

Always good to have a vendor present and active on the forum!

I would say nsg to ax15/nv3550 swap questions come up here near as often as engine swap questions do. Usually what other small parts are needed along with the obvious bellhousing. I did the swap a couple years ago with an ax15 I bought new from Novak. If you're looking for any feedback, I'd just ask what vehicle that straight, 6 foot tall shift lever is actually for, because it's definitely not for the TJ. 🤣 The YJ dash is shallower so it might work better there but it still puts the knob roughly level with the top of the steering wheel if I remember correctly. I say this all in good fun, I was prepared for a "universal" part that I'd have to mess with a bit.

sure would like a bellhousing to go from the JK 3.6 to an AX15.
6 speed jumping out of gear, hard to shift, 1st and reverse, etc.

Based on this post, kind of sounds like maybe the NSG370 didn't actually get "fixed" in the next generation (as some have suggested). Sounds exactly like my '05 LJ's gearbox...

I would say that's exactly true as even the '06 was supposed to be improved and yet mine shat the bed.

I was wheeling with a guy in a JKUR last month that was having reverse problems with his NSG370. It's a shame, the transmission has great ratios but it never got fixed through the entire run.

Have you ever driven a JK with that trans in it? If you have, I'm surprised you're saying anything nice at all about that pile of mechanical poo.
