so I noticed my water temp sensor stopped working and decided to wait for the weekend to change it however my 02 sensor failed before the weekend was up. Obd ii showed it was bankn1 sensor 2. Focused only on the o2 sensor I changed that but Jeep would not start. Pulled code and found thermostat malfunction. So I changed the water temp sensor and all was good??? Does this make any sense? I never would have thought a water temp sensor could keep keep from starting. -2004 wrangler 4.0

It doesn't make sense to me, but if it's running and working now, I guess the good news is that you fixed it, right?

86000 miles. All I can imagine is since the code showed thermostat malfunction is why Jeep would not start. It was turning over fine but just not starting.

Its running fine now. Just curious why this happened.-thanks for suggestions
