Odd 2.4 rattle only under load while moving

Could you possibly be trying to accelerate from too high of a gear making the engine rpms too low to produce enough power to accelerate? That can definitely cause the engine to ping/rattle. That's also pretty common for those new to a manual transmission who shift at too low of an rpm.

I actually ended up selling the Jeep like 2 months ago but I definitely don't think that was the problem. That thing had no low end torque so I had to shift at higher rpm. I usually shifted around 3,000. That's the only way I could get up and go kinda well enough to merge on the highway without causing a traffic jam 😂
