Illinois Off-roading in Eastern Iowa and Northwest Illinois

Does anyone know where I can [legally] go off roading in eastern Iowa or Northwestern Illinois?

I live about a half hour north of the Quad Cities.

I’ve tried the onX Offroad, App and I am striking out.

I’m not looking for anything crazy, but something preferably a little more exciting than a country road (although those can be pretty great).

Alternately, if you know some awesome country road routes, I can take my wife and kids on that would be good too

There is Minnesota and it’s still a long ways.
