As stated. My CCV appears to be allowing oil into my intake. Anyone have any thoughts? I do have a CAI on it (bought it before I knew better) and I drive it like a bat outta hell because it has 4.10s and 35s. 5 speed. 170k on the clock. I never rev it past 3500 rimpems which is when I shift so I’m not blogging down in the next gear. Time for new rings maybe? Or smaller tires 😂

My 2.5 did that also and I only had 75K on it. I can't give you a reason why but I've seen it on a few of the 4cyl Jeeps. Now I use to run mine up to 5K RPMS and a little higher all the time.

You need to regear your axles or go back to a 30" tire. For 35" tires you need 5.13 gears and if you could deeper like 5.38 but with stock axles the lowest is 5.13.

So odd. I guess I’ll just live with it lol.

I’m totally aware my hearing is so wrong for the 35s lol. I needed rubber. The price was right for these tires. Gets me from a to be. I have no need to go faster than 60 :).

How much oil are we talking about? When I still had my stock air box it would coat the foam piece in there pretty good. But it wasn't like I had a puddle or anything.

I don’t think there’s a puddle. But the CCV in the valve cover is wet, and there appears to be enough getting through the rubber hose to the intake tube to leak through that joint and down the tube. I’ll snap a shot in a little bit.

That seems to be about the same amount that I was getting from my engine.
You could install a catch can to help. I plan to add one for my V-8.

Hm. I guess I never really paid enough attention to it in the past. She’s not a daily any more. She’s a backup now. Either way, I want to keep her fully mission capable at all times lol. The intent it to keep the motor and do a full rebuild one day. Thing’s bullet proof as far as I’m concerned lol.

I’m curious as to the effect the oil vapor has on engine performance and if it can gum up valves. Maybe there isn’t enough to do anything.
