Hey I need some help here. I have a 2004 Wrangler with the 4.0 that leaks oil. I just had the rear main seal and oil pan replaced for $900 bucks. It still leaks! It's dripping down from the front of the transmission. Where is it coming from?

It is probably coming from the valve cover. There is a gasket there that can be replaced.

$900 is high for at most a days worth of work and $75 in parts... That's assuming everything is rusted to oblivion... Or else just a few hours and $50 in parts.

If the leak isn't coming from the valve cover try switching your oil to Mobil Super 10W-30 or 5W-30 which is a high mileage oil. It has seal conditioners that can stop many leaks. It completely stopped my BMW's leak at its rear main seal. Especially if you're running a synthetic engine oil which can encourage leaks.
