Oil slinger washer is missing!

Evening guys and girls.

I have a new problem, the previous owner has misplaced the oil slinger washer ( 04798118 part number 38 ) and I cant seem to find one. Does anyone know where I can get one or the dimensions of that washer?

They were discontinued somewhere around 2000 I think. I recently opened a 2002 motor and it was definitely not included in that particular example. From everything I have read they were not really effective and were basically deleted from the design. You can still fit them but most engine rebuilders don't seem to bother.

The answer from Bammo68 is for the oil slinger at the front of the motor under the timing cover.

It appears you were referring to the tcase?

Correct. It just dawned on me that we weren't on the same page.

I found one used at https://novak-adapt.com/index.htm I emailed them and they're sending me a used one. Now, I'll feel better that it's going back together correctly. Appreciate everyone helping out.
