One at a time

Nice job. It is very rewarding to take a Jeep from near demise back to a fully functioning machine. I'd love to look you up next time I am there and feel free to visit here. I never did get out into the the desert when I lived in Kuwait, but I am sure it is magnificent.

Thank you, truly appreciated and you are most welcome anytime.
We'll visit some of the dunes in here, little ones not so fancy but I do love the desert in here.

The story continues..

Fixing the Hardtop rear window leak
was a pain at the beginning, but after lots of search I finally find my own solution to this problem.

Then,
I did this Mod:
Adding 90's GM/Chevy truck underhood light to the TJ was a great Mod, I do admit.

Here is the topic that I followed, and my photos attached:

Cheers!

This is a GREAT thread! I just purchased an '04 TJ Sahara and I have about the same mechanic experience as you, very little. I really appreciate how you chronicled all your projects and posted pictures here. It inspires me to get my hands dirty! Thanks man!

Thank you for your kind words, and congrats on purchasing the TJ!
Hope we are going to see you posting good things about it.
More photos are coming for what I did more on the TJ, and I hope it'll be a good inspiration for you guys.
Best of luck.

One of the things that makes me fall in love, more, with my TJ is the ability to find tons of ideas and accessories that I can use, or enhance to fit my needs.

I love winter, and I do camp a lot.
And this mod I am going to share right now,
I worked on it last night and I find it worthy..

For many reasons.

I used for this mod:
1- 1.5mm wiring
2- LED - strip type - sticks with 3M (costs around $3) 12V
3- Fuse 10A
4- Switch with Light indicator (couldn't find 10A so I used this one 20A)
5- 1:30 hr

Yes, IT IS BRIGHT.

So, the money spending marathon continues..

My tailgate door has lots of scratches and I didn’t like it since day 1.
Today I decided to work on it,
Cleaning it properly then painting it.

I chose for the painting:
• Plastikote - Rubberized Undercoat

After the painting,
I got these nice storage string bags ($1.5 each)

Great thread. lots of good info & ideas. I`m doing the tailgate improvement next... Good Job!...

Thank you mate, grateful that this thread is giving you ideas.
And goodluck with that!

I will be posting soon something regarding the spare tire holder.
Which might be useful too.

Yesterday I felt like enhancing my Spare tire carrier,
the paint that is painted with will fade and cause rust with time (that's what happened with me)..

So, I decided to sand it..
I even sanded the bolts, and screws.

I used Undercoat *Rubberized* type of paint.
To provide a protection layer for the carrier, and to prevent rust.

I made sure to tape the screws,
so that they won't be painted with this type of paint,
as it will be harder for me to unscrew them in the future if needed.
