Opinion on potential TJ purchase

Pass. It has the strangest rust pattern I've ever seen. Drive shaft is covered, but right next to it appears good. The steering components are rusted, but 3 inches away are not. There are parts of in the engine compartment that should not be rusted, but are. Bizarre.

For me, I'd keep looking for one that never resided north of TN.

My take on rust is the same as on crazy women- if you think she’s a little unwound when you meet her at the hair salon, just wait til ya’ get her home.

Most suggest a borescope to look inside the frame, but you can tell a lot by sticking your finger inside the and feeling around…

Did it break down while driving? Is that why they are taking pictures in middle of an intersection?

Way too much black paint overspray underneath also. I would pass, from the rust I can see and whatever they are trying to cover up...
