Good afternoon,

I would really appreciate some input on a new steering kit - mine is in need of replacement. I was looking at the Crown kit and it seems reasonible, but it doesn’t get great reviews. I only have a 2 1/2 lift and the Jeep spends most of its time in the road, so I’m not sure I need something as extreme as the Curie system. Is the Crown kit ok from those of you that use it or are their better alternatives - thanks!

Thanks Jerry - I should be good then. The Crown kit comes with the ZJ components.
Yes though I would just go with just the tie rod which will of course be cheaper. The OE drag link on the TJ is fine, it's essentially the same drag link you'd get in the Crown kit. It's just the tie rod that is the problem on the TJ.

The ZJ Grand Cherokee tie rod is a good first upgrade, that's what I'd go with. It's a direct bolt-in and significantly stronger replacement for the skinny hollow tie rod the TJ comes with.
Are there vendors that sell just this ZJ tie rod as an individual item?
