Part numbers and resources for constant tension hose clamps

Did you ever find out if these will fit the '01 4.0? I am in the same situation right now trying to find out what size OEM clamps I need.
Hopefully I'll find out this week... I ordered them and they should be in before the week is out. I'll update this thread afterwards. If you don't get a reply from me w/in a week or two, remind me in this thread.

Looks like they work fine and dandy. Like he said in the OP, 42 for the upper radiator hose,
https://www.clipsandfasteners.com/Cnstnt-Tnsn-Bnd-Hose-Clamp-37-2mm-44-5mm-Rnge-p/a18132.htm

47 on the thermostat housing, 47 on the lower radiator hose,
https://www.moparpartsoverstock.com/p/__/6635573/04592176.html
and 55 on the water pump, even though Amazon said it wouldn't fit my '01.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01EIBPQVY/?tag=wranglerorg-20.

I also took the OP's advice and bought the pliers.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005MVB5XS/?tag=wranglerorg-20

They made life a LOT easier. A little bit of a PITA to get it in place on the water pump, but I was able to get the clamp in place. I had to take out the coolant reservoir and remove the belt, but it's on there and so far, isn't leaking.

Thank you all for this thread. Very informative and helpful.

Those pliers are really not meant for the style clamps on Jeeps, but rather the wire type clamps. They will work but a bit of a PITA
This is the proper tool for the flat style.

Oh, I can see how that would be easier and allow for more maneuverability in tight spaces. Even though they're in the same post as the ones I bought earlier in this thread, I just ignored that option... but great point. I may order a set just to have them, too.

Thanks

Sub for future reference. BTW, i ordered heater hose clamps tonight from some place called Bel-Metric, guess I will find out if the sizing is ok and the quality. Anyone ordered from them before?
How are those bel-metric hose clamps working?

The lower radiator hose popped off of the water pump this weekend. When I bought the Jeep I saw that it had a worm gear type hose clamp there so I need to replace that clamp with factory style. The parts list shows part number 3200 2366 for that part but post #1 here lists 55037660.

Can anyone tell what the right one is?

Are the numbers stamped on the hose clamps the size in mm?

Part numbers change sometimes. I don’t know if that’s the case here or not, but 55037660 is what was on mine when I purchased it in 2016.

I do believe those stamped numbers are millimeters.

Does anyone know if these part #'s are good for a 2001 Jeep TJ? I get my parts from moparwholesaleparts.com, they are local so I can will call from them, they're site says only 55037990AA (55) fits my jeep. I'm confused and HATE regular hose clamps, would very much like to put constant tension clamps back on it when I change the hoses.

I could take the gates hoses up there to see what fits but I need #'s and they won't appreciate it, last time I was in there they were short staffed and that was in the before times. Plus they'll charge me dealership parts counter prices and not online prices. So I'm hoping someone knows.

From 2007 Chrysler radiator hoses and clamps.

It looks like for my 2002 it uses the same 3 for the upper hose both ends, lower hose engine end but it doesn't list a clamp for the lower hose radiator end. My Jeep currently has a worm style clamp on it and I wonder if that's how it came from the factory. It looks like you can order the lower hose with a clamp. That's the one I really would like to replace with a constant tension clamp since it's leaking where the worm clamp is attached.

Did the order come in and did you try those clamps? Sucess or Failure?

I know this is a shot in the dark, old thread and all.

I'm looking for constant tension clamps for the cooler hoses going from the transmission lines to the bottom of the radiator. I'm kinda sorta sure the size is 3/8" ID Gates transmission hose. I know that someone will ask why I don't just climb under and see for sure what size hose: really bad back, would like to have what I need to do the repair when I climb under there b/c it will be a task.

They have gear worm clamps on there now, I hate those clamps, especially on smaller diameter hose and as things go I have a big time leak on one of them. They lasted a couple years but I've always wanted to change them.

Want to replace the hoses and the clamps on both ends. Looking for the size of clamp I'd need or if someone knows a link to some. I'm not sure if I'm looking for a clamp with the same diameter as the hose O.D. or if it needs to be smaller.

Edit:

Sorry, I’m not sure about the transmission hose clamps. Hopefully someone else here will know.

Even if someone DID know, it’s best to measure the installed diameter of the hose and buy the appropriate clamp. The size of the clamp indicates its nominal diameter in mm. Takes 2 seconds for you to measure with cheepie caliper gauge. Have your oil change guy measure for you at yoy next Jiffy Lube appoitment

I don't have an oil change guy nor do I have constant tension clamps on my transmission hoses.
