Hello, new here, I apologize if not in the correct area. I have a 2003 Jeep Wrangler and there is a TCM and a PCM. Engin light on dash is on, OBDII when booted gives two choices. TRANS or ENG, go under ENG and no code, go under TRANS and P0605 code. (Internal Control Module Read Only Memory ROM error) If I clear this code and start the motor, idle for a bit, shift to drive and reverse back in park, no check engine light, no code. If I drive approximately 100 yards the engine light returns and code P0605 comes back. Information on the internet is confusing because most info says this vehicle only has one central computer (PCM) however as stated, this vehicle has a TCM (mounted on drivers side under hood) and a PCM (mounted on passenger side under hood). The part numbers on each are:
TCM # P56041897AE and the PCM # Chrystler P56044, Motorola 2A470S4QEV, Module TEM1263S4QEV, TEM1253S4QEV.
So I guess my question is, what module would be the one creating this code and is this the module to replace? I'm leaning towards the TCM since there are two choices on the OBDII and under the TRANS choice is the code P0605 but thought I would get some expert opinions please. Thank you in advance.

Yes you have two. @Wranglerfix would be your best source for replacement. But I'd be verifying the solenoids are working and flushing or just topping of the transmission fluid before replacing. That and checking wiring, especially grounds.

Hey Mark, thanks for the reply. Would you be willing to share the "easy repair" as I'm all about easy....and hopefully inexpensive.
:)

Easy for him, not you. Don't get greedy. ;) 🇺🇸
