I have a 00 with the 5.2 Dakota swap. Someone stole my pcm so I don’t have pcm no to match to new pcm. The 5.2 is a 99 Dakota engine. I didn’t do the swap so I don’t have vin for the Dakota either. Also if I order a plug n play Dakota pcm do I give them my wrangler vin to be programmed to

The only thing to consider when adding your vin number to a PCM is that scan tools read your vin to determine your engine size. So if your vin number belongs to a 4 cylinder the scan tool will not work completely on your V8.

I just got my PCM back from @wranglefix and I did not have the vin number programed into it. I have not installed the PCM yet but the turn around time for @Wranglerfix was in and out in one day.

depending on your jeeps year you can use a 1998 to 2000 dodge ram PCM to run the engine and stock tj gauges. If you find one with the skim feature (anti theft) you can send it to @Wranglerfix and he can remove the skim on it. I had him remove the skim from the jeep grand Cherokee 5.9 limited PCM. I will install it and try it out later today to see how it works.
