Penetrol for interior door panels?

Seem to recall someone saying Penetrol would restore faded interior door panels.

I did the heat treatment a few months ago and it didn’t last long. The tops of the door panels are faded and spotted. Would love to restore them without having to paint them. Same for the steering column trim.
