Piss & Moan Table

Everyone is so incompetent.

I hired an outfit to do a survey, it took months for them to come out. When the survey was done they were supposed to send it to the town, state etc.

So a guy I know is interested in buying a lot from me. He went to walk the lines, he called me, to tell me they didn't mark it??

I call the idiots, the guy says oh that is filed away let me find it. Oh you wanted the lines marked?

I said what is the purpose of getting a survey done?

Then I asked about the plan being sent to the town etc. Crickets

Really had some fun yesterday at Walmart in the parking lot. I bought a Ram truck and it’s so much bigger than my Jeeps so I’m not too good at parking it yet. Needless to say when I attempted to pull into my space there was a rough looking ole gal unloading her buggy. She had her cart blocking my parking attempt so I patiently waited for her to load up and move out of the way. She looked up from her unloading and called me numerous bad names and cussed me every way. When I got out and approached her she continued the cussing, and very humbling I told her I was attempting to be humble, kind and patient while she unloaded. Her demeanor instantly changed and apologized for being an ass
So instead of being an ass I’m trying a new method of dealing with conflict.

It’s a Ram for a reason, show her why

As someone who hit a deer with a Ford truck doing 70 mph I can say that the deer lost and my truck drove home with no issues.

Whether anybody believes the Bible or not there is so much truth to the verse “ A soft answer turneth away wrath”.

Haven’t heard that but that’s really awesome. Seems like answering anger with compassion and kindness could go a long way these days.

Well it can literally save your life these days.

Secondly people are going to pretty much mirror whatever you do.

Occasionally you’ll meet somebody with an unreasonable temper but most of the time you will get amazing results with a soft response.

I had a job looking at material complaints for a wholesale company and man did I get an education.

Sometime I would like to post something that was pretty good working with physical
product issues. Had some good teachers.

My early years were shit but I ended up having a blessed life. I sometimes take it for granted that others are not as fortunate and it manifests itself as anger in them. I’ve learned to let it roll off like water on a duck’s back and move on. There is no benefit in responding to them.

Sadly it’s taken me 65 years to figure out that you are spot on with that . Now all I’ve got to do is adapt to that idea, and overcome the urge to respond back negatively.

So I'm not sure if I'll live long enough for my son, and his family to move into their new house.

I told them upfront that since I'm involved it's going to be one problem after another. I know a lot of people say that but with me it's 100 percent true.

This guy was going to do wonders and shit cucumbers for us. He was going to remove an old house off a foundation so they could have the new house put on that foundation.

The water, septic etc. could be hooked up and life would go on. Well first we kept being told due to all the bad weather etc he can't get a crane blah blah.

Then the outfit won't return calls to us or to the company that is doing the new house.

Then we find another outfit that will take the house, the town tells my daughter in-law when she calls Oh he can't get a permit I don't have enough land.

WTF are they smoking I have a bunch of acres right there on main street. The house should've been all done in June.

There was a lot more BS going on but that is the highlights.

Don't even ask how helpful my brother in-law has been during this. I already ran away from home but it didn't help.

You may have to head north and take care of business.

Daughter in-law goes to the town office, the surveyor never gave them a copy. He of course told me that he did back in March.

The woman at the town was saying we can't give you a permit to remove, or replace the houses.

Then the code enforcement officer steps into the office tells the woman that she can give a permit.

I've got to yell at the surveyor, then I can get my lawyer to write deed descriptions. My lawyer can't do anything without the survey.

Story time.

Sometimes it's just something simple but you're looking for something big/$$$.

I've decided to keep the old yamaha golf car, that way I don't have to add a flip seat, coil spring shocks, and smaller tires to the new golf car. The old one is set up to haul 4 adults. The kids only come down a few times a year.

The old yamaha wasn't taken care of the guy just drove it. So I had to do a lot stuff when it came with the house. The spark plug might have been the original one from 97. The air filter feĺl apart when I tried to remove it. The oil was like molasses.

I had to change the drive clutch, and fish out the parts of the manual gas gauge out of the gas tank. He just put on an old gas cap In it's place.

Now to the point of the story. I've been riding around, it's been going good than it just dies. I've been lucky it's died each time close to the house.

I would push it into the garage, and try to figure out why the starter motor would run but the engine wouldn't. Well after a few days it would run OK again.

I give up I call a mobile golf car repair guy he comes to the house. He thinks it might be the carb, I told him I put on a new one awhile ago because it was a mess.

I go into the house for a minute, I come out he said I fixed it. He said I'm glad I got it before I started pulling stuff apart.

He asked if I changed the gas cap? I told him about the old one and how the guy left all metal and the float inside the tank.

He said he put a non vented gas cap on the tank that is why it would die. See how the plastic tank is bowed in? He said it just happened to dawn on me that could be the problem.

Well it cost me a 45 dollar service call but the mystery is solved. I hope this the last thing the old owner did that I've had to undo.

Well it kept me from thinking about the DRAMA with the new house in Maine for a little bit.

Money well spent.

Now put your old one on your enemies golf car.
