Piss & Moan Table

OK my day to BITCH a little bit....

Was supposed to have an appointment with the Pain Clinic in Yakima this morning @ 10AM. Got a text on Tuesday asking me to confirm my appointment which I did. So I drive the hour to my appointment and check in. I'm sitting waiting to get called into the exam room when one of the nurses comes out and tells me that I was supposed to of been called the day prior to have my appointment rescheduled because the PA I was supposed to see today wasn't available. So not only did they waste my TIME but I burned up fuel that I shouldn't have needed to if someone had done their FUCKING job.

So back to working on the Jeep... I'm out.

And here in WA you have a mail in ballot

These need to be eliminated unless physically unable to vote in person, seems to me their use is one of the easiest ways to rig an election. When I was a kid, these were typically used for the very old/immobile and military/diplomats serving overseas. Being a busy soccer mommy doesn't cut it with me...

I voted by mail in ballot when I was in the military.
Other than people who can't leave their homes I agree you should have to go to a polling place.

I don't have problem with the mail in ballots. They need to be dropped off in person the week before and with an ID verification against voter roles.

I voted that way for an election decades ago before they mailed them out. You got a ballot at the election official's building.

But you aren't dropping them off in person. They have collection boxes or you can mail them in if you want.

One of the MAIN issues here in WA (can't say in other states) is that they give illegals drivers license here and if you get a license you're enrolled to vote too. So at a minimum you're voting in state elections.

I find it crazy some think showing an ID to vote is some kind of infringement of rights.

I don't either. I have NO problems showing my ID to prove I should be allowed to vote.

here in NY you just say your name and sign a book. I am so tempted to go in a couple times a day to vote for someone else.

The Fred Meyers stores now require you to show ID to buy tobacco or alcohol no matter what your age. The part I DON'T like is that they scan your driver license too and I don't know where this information goes or is used for.

Then the cops know who to pull over to see if they are drunk driving.

Yeah. They need to required ID. No drop boxes. Drop off in person with ID and checked against voter rolls. With clean voter rolls.

The next country formed after this one might have more voter protections in place. This one is screwed.

Sure glad my wiener isn't bent due to scar tissue 🙏

Because if it was, Ill sleep better tonight knowing there is a med for it I saw on a TV commercial.

Pharmaceutical commercials on TV are annoying AF.

My understanding is that the US and NZ are the only two nations on earth that allow direct to consumer pharmaceutical advertising. Gives you an idea of who runs the show here.

One of my wifes BFFs has been a pharmaceutical rep for 25+ years. Was sort of clueless how it all worked til talking to her about it almost 20 years ago.

The whole big pharma thing is a huge somewhat sickening racket.

Yep. But then when you consider how marginally effective, side effect prone, and poorly understood their products are, it starts to become clear that the crooked and corrupt way the industry works is the only way it COULD work.

Indeed. I find it interesting there's a group of people who are strongly against voters having to show ID to vote, but this same group seem to have no issue at all showing their ID and pot cards at the weed dispensary.

Worked the polls the last vote we had. One two hour training session and the day of voting 14 freaking hours! Made $170 for sixteen hours of volunteer work.
If they cannot find you on the voting register and you don’t have a registration card you can fill out a paper ballot. But you still have to have a valid Tennessee driver’s license. So EVERYONE gets to vote. With the paper ballots if they can verify you are eligible your vote will count.
The November vote they say is going to be not too much fun. Lotta angry folks.
