Has there been a definitive answer on DIY or TMR, etc, crossmembers with rubber bushings VS. the Poly. Specifically, do rubber bushings eliminate the need to use the stock trans mount to eliminate vibes?

This looks like a fun project. I have the capability to do all this at home and create/fab my own skid. Need to get the Jeep on the lift and see how high I can get the wod pushed up in there and what I have left hanging...

I don’t know definitively rubber vs poly. I have heard match the mount material to your engine mount material so they play nice.

As far as diy vs bought tubes The kick up at the end of the tube can be nice for clearing your skid at the ends, not sure if you have bender or not.

I did the Genright x-member recently and I thought it went in well. It uses rubber bushings on each side with a solid mount to the transmission. There is still a little more driveline vibe to the chassis vs stock or anchor transmission mount but not enough to bother me. Its similar to a harder durometer NAPA stock style mount I had used in the past.

I've got some stock parts (control arms - trac bar) with good bushings I was thinking about robbing for this job, going to give that a shot. Was also planning to use rectangle tubing and create a drop.

I finally trimmed these off because they looked like yours. 🤣 Nice exhaust. Mines chopped and I’m tired of the droning. I need to fix that.

Yeah. That was before that last Moab trip. Might look worse now after Pritchett and such but I haven't had it back on the lift yet. Drives fine though.

I did the ucf, there was a little fabrication involved. I did it on my YJ the ultra high clearance, it requires a lot of modifications to clear everything. The high clearance requires a lot less.
