Back to doing Jeep things. Trying to get ready to replace my pump assembly and skid plate for the gas tank. I just got a pump from Napa ( hoping it’s a good one). I bought a Dorman skid plate and some straps off of amazon. I have the filler neck hose and the vent hose to replace while I’m at it. Is there anything else I need to complete this job? Seems pretty straightforward but figured it couldn’t hurt to ask the consensus before starting.

If you can get your hands on a MC jack like this, it's makes the job a breeze.

I drilled out the holes on my filler neck and put in M5 riv nuts. Then used button head Allen screws to bolt it back in. Lots easier than fishing nuts up there.

Are you talking about the bezel ? Mine just had sheet metal screws or something similar that attaches the plastic bezel to the body. It hasn’t been on since I put the body lift on though because I couldn’t stretch the hose to the new length lol that’s the main reason I planned on replacing the two hoses there so I could just cut them off and not have to fight it.

I followed this for dropping the tank

Seems like a good afternoon project. I’m starting to get a little bit of use from my left hand again so I figured what the hell I might as well tackle this job before the snow starts flying.
