This is the official build thread for my 1999 TJ that I found in California while there for work.
Quick specs:
100 percent stock
53000 miles
Clean No Rust
4.0
AX-15
Dana 44 / 30
3.73 Gearing

I will post updates as I go. Starting with the prep for the 2173.5 mile trip home. Then the corresponding mods after.

Cheers!

Polk Audio 4x6 and 5.25 replacements
Seat Covers

Offroad the damn thing ha ha ha

Stay tuned for more pictures

Spectacular find. Like winning a powerball lottery with a ticket you found on the sidewalk. Everyone from the north east thinks you suck.

Is your roll cage modified or something? I’ve never seen (that I remember) a TJ Jeep with a roll cage that didn’t have bars that connected the windshield frame to the main hoop...

Good catch, I didn't notice that at first, but now I can see that the front portion of the sport bars have been removed. I'd put those back in there for safety purposes.

Brown Dog Motor Mount Lift 1in. installed.
JKS 1.25 in. body lift installed.
Note: Still needed to use transfer case drop bracket position A, shifts like butter into 4hi and 4 low
Method Wheels 15x7 and Toyo MTs 33 X 10.5 mounted
Note: This is just so I can drive the Jeep to work where I will use a lift to install the JKS 3 inch lift
Note: 3.73 makes this manageable until I go to 4.56 or 4.88s (pending sale of my Tacoma)

Very clean 👍🏼 I would run 4.56’s instead of 4.88’s with 33’s. Especially on a lighter setup like that, but that’s just my opinion.

Thanks for the info, that's the way I was leaning. I appreciate the advice and the compliment! That's a good looking rig you have yourself there!

Regards,

Calvin
