I did some things in the Navy which made nutjob history (outrageously-dangerous and foolish stuff). I was convinced I couldn't be beat--until watching my very first episode of "Adventure Bound"

You did some right-nice mods on "Nellie Belle" for me, which, in the end, enabled her time in the spotlight at Hidden Falls as well. She had a few moments of glory there.

Say, my Long Hair Chihuahua is from Spokane (2 years old now). I drove 6 hours to the breeder, to pick her up, when I lived in WA. And so, you have extended family out here. Check out the Davenport Hotel when you get a chance--one awesome hotel.

No, there really are leprechauns out here! Miss you D-!

I've been searching for his Adventure Bound episodes on DVD. There are some clips on YouTube, but I'd like to have the "full monte."

You might recall he began in that old Jeep Wagoneer. Remember that one? He took that thing to impossible places. He was the original "Soul Jeeper."

The guys in my family don’t usually sell their jeeps, I’ve had the same one since 03, my brothers had the one he bought in 87’ but has a few more now, and my Dads had the same flatty since something like 74’

Oh yeah, and we ride the unicorns because they know where the good mushrooms are, we fling the Pixy dust so we can find our way back because if we used breadcrumbs the leprechauns would eat them. And what the hell is a moon bat, that must be an Oregon thing

Alby, Leyland Brothers, Malcolm Douglas to name a few were staples in my impressionable youth and formed part of the reason I wanted a Jeep (although Malcolm loved his Toyotas) and dirt in general. That and Jeeps flying off ramps in them A-Team episodes hahaha

That's some serious Jeep heritage there, brother. I've felt the same about the two I've owned, wishing I could just keep them, and deeply regret selling each one, to include some other icons, like my '90 Gen-I Montero, which was modded and was quite a beast offroad--a true classic.

Thank you for piecing-together the significance of the mushrooms, pixy dust and leprechauns. As for the Moon Bats; I believe they are a delicacy in Gig Harbor--where I used to live. And, them folks in Gig Harbor may very well have adopted the Moon Bat diet from Oregonians--in the same way they have adopted Voodoo Doughnuts.

No worries at all. Leyland was more focused on Australia and Papua New Guinea but still good viewing.

We went to the Davenport last night to check out the Christmas Trees . They were very interesting and the hotel was spectacular.

Not many rocks around here. Did a 35 mile trail ride today in CdAlene near Hayden Lake. It was cake, beautiful scenery though.

I'll be sure to keep the TJ family posted on my pursuit for the next TJ, as soon as the adventure resumes. I put a lot of work into the previous TJ. I'm thinking this time around I may take the plunge and get a Rubicon--to spare me a bunch of mods.

We went to the Davenport last night to check out the Christmas Trees . They were very interesting and the hotel was spectacular.

Not many rocks around here. Did a 35 mile trail ride today in CdAlene near Hayden Lake. It was cake, beautiful scenery though.

Oh ya, the wheeling out in the NW makes for gorgeous views, including the pocket in your photo. I used to hit Tahuya National Forest, up in the Olympic Peninsula, about once a month. I'm confident you'd get a kick out of that. It's a good 6-hour trek for you however. But, I have family within 10 minutes of the wheel-zone, where you to could sojourn overnight, to include any fellow wheelers from Spokane, if they come along. Sister has a big basement with 2 bedrooms and a game room on that level--with a big sofa in the gameroom. Just let me know when you're ready for the adventure .

As for The Davenport; indeed, it's one of the finest hotels I've seen; they don't make 'em like that anymore.
