I'm getting everything I need in hand ready to start regearing axles for the first time - be gentle with me. I have a Master Kit from Revolution, at the time I bought them I think they had issues sourcing bearings and I have a mixture of Timken and Koyo. My understanding is that as I am fitting ARB lockers the bearings go on the locker before the shims, so I do not need a set up bearing. But for the pinion I need a set up race for the inner most bearing. Troble is, I don't know which bearing /race is which, so don't know which one to get a spare of to make a set up race from.

It looks like I have two bearings the same (marked 'A') which I am guessing must be for the carrier. The other two bearings are for the Pinion, am I right in thinking the 'tail bearing' has the smaller hole, so is marked 'B' in my picture? That would make the 'pinion bearing' the one marked 'C' and it would be this bearing ('C') that I need a spare race for to create a set up race. Thanks in advance!

Keep in mind that ARBs usually don't use the carrier bearings that come with master kits unless the company you're buying them from know you're installing an ARB at that time. So those carrier bearings may not work with your ARB. You'll need to check with the ARB installation instructions. They'll tell you what carrier bearings are needed.

You're nomenclature looks right.

ARBs usually include the carrier bearings (both of mine did), so there's a good chance you wont use "A", instead, use the bearings that come with the ARB kit.

Many thanks, I had been trying to watch @hosejockey61 excellent regear videos on YouTube to confirm, but just couldn’t be sure. I’ll order another face for bearing ‘C’ and take a look in the ARB boxes to see if there are bearings.

Possibly easier; you can order setup races from ECGS for whatever axle you're working on. They had both Dana 44 and Dana 30 that I used.

You are correct that C is your inner pinion bearing. The others are right about the ARB. They come with their own carrier bearings in the box. If you don't have those, you will need to source them. I don't have the numbers off the top of my head but you can pull them from the last page of the ARB instruction manual. You will most likely have to cross reference to a different bearing number. I have a chart at home.....but I'm not at home. You are also correct that the bearings get pressed on first so no need for a setup bearing for the carrier.

Thank you, as ever most helpful. Your regearing videos are the definitive source of information and I have recommended them to numerous people here in the UK. Thank you for taking the time and trouble to produce them.
