I'm going to do a brake job and axle seal replacement on it. So far it's only on jack stands. I'm just gathering info on it to get the necessary parts.
The plan is to clean and repaint the backing plates and R&R all shoes, springs, slaves and clips etc.
I've done this to my old FJ-40 numerous times, so I'm familiar with C-clips axles.
The Dana 60 (from a late 80's F-150) is a semi-floater but I'm not sure on if there is anything different or special involved in pulling the axles out of a ARB equipped diff.
And also replace the bearings with a Timkin # 20 kit.
Please advise and guide me.

Thanks guys.

Undo the bolts that hold in the backing plates, remove the shafts...and I have never heard of a 60 in an F-150 of that year...

It was a conversation on cell phones, could have been an F-250.
So there is no c-clip? Just the bearing retainers?
It's got Dutchman Axles, if it makes any difference.
And I'll pull wheels and drums off tomorrow and have a look see.

EDIT, dumb shit move on my part. I called the wrong person that built and donated the rear end. Shit sakes.
