Radiator purged in my driveway

The lady was trying to get up my driveway today and failed half way up. I noticed the car was smoking but thought it was the tires burning cuz she was flooring it. Then the temp gauge was heading towards "H". I shut it down and inspected the engine bay and found the radiator T-fitting went boom. I now have a pink driveway.

Any idea how that happened? I was thinking pressure in the system but wouldn't the fluid rush to the reservoir?

It's a 2013 Dodge Avenger 2.4L.

Yeah it's fine. It was 3/4 of the way to H but not in the red zone yet. I replaced the hose, filled the radiator, and burped the system. Seems fine now.

I had some old wood pellets that got wet before and tossed em all over the driveway. She drove right up without any fuss.

Pellets increase traction. :b1:

Interesting, I too would have thought it would blow through the reservoir.
