Rancho RS6503 suspension

Is anyone running this specific lift kit? Looking for opinions of it. Considering either this one or the Old Man Emu 2 " heavy kit. Going to run 31" tires.

I notice the Rancho RS6503 comes with the 4 lower control arms, which is what really interests me. I also see that the Rancho kit does NOT come with a steering stabilizer.

I will be running Rancho 5000X shocks.

I'm a big fan of Rancho's shock absorbers but I'd probably skip over their complete suspension lifts. For a 2" suspension lift, the OE control arms are actually a very good choice. They may look cheap but their design is actually very elegant, to use an engineering term. Their design is very strong in the directions they need to be but they also allow flex/twisting where needed when offroading. They're actually a better choice than some aftermarket control arms.

You may or may not need a new steering stabilizer. A SS is really nothing more than a simple hydraulic shock valved 50:50 for its in/out directions. You can remove it during the install of whatever suspension lift you choose and test it. It should resist you pushing it in and pulling it out fairly forcefully but equally in both directions. It will NOT try to expand out on its own, it is a hydraulic shock so it will stay at whatever position you push or pull it to. If it resists being pushed/pulled with some arm strength required to do so, it's still good and does not need to be replaced.

Good decision on the Rancho RS5000x shocks, you'll really like them!

I have heard this many times about the stock control arms being excellent in design and quality.
