Every year a bunch of us had down to Route 66 for NHRA qualifying. Great time, all day event, 6am start with breakfast then lunch. Here's lunch menu, 36 steaks lol.

Dang, and I was just about to show up with my Colt Custom Shop 1911. GCE seriel number, 246 of 500. It's, ummm, very accurate and very solid.

I spent one winter with relatives up there north of Copper Harbor. I don't miss that kind of snow at all!

My inlaws live just Southwest of Houghton. My father in law is 82 and still gets out and shovels his own roof. I didn't take that picture, but its that way EVERY year...it gets old.

Worth a visit. I didn't make it up to Ouray this year, and I am having withdrawals...you have to do Black Bear at least once in your life.

That's badass. I was born in Durango and moved to Texas at 22. I miss the Mountains.
