Rattling Catalytic Converter Heat Shield

The heat shield on one of my cats is loose and rattling all the time, anything I can do to fix it? I am worried about doing anything because of the high heat it will experience so I couldn’t use duct tape or anything I don’t think, a tac weld to hold it in place would work but I don’t have access to a welder

The heat wouldn’t be a problem if it was removed?

Tack welding the heat shield to the case isn't going to hurt anything as long as you don't go crazy. That or wrap some safety were around it and twist it tight.

Has the shield rattled loose due to loose honey comb inside the converter ?

I never noticed an issue
