Greeting Jeepers. I've managed to source some reconditioned gold wheels for my GE. I'm unsure what nuts to buy. Read somewhere that Ravine wheels have slightly different nut?

Can someone enlighten me on Ravine tech specs for the 2006 GE.

Same lug nuts.

believe these are shell style lug nut from factor and not a chrome acorn. pic of the lugnuts on my GE. Basically shell of standard lugnut that over the years will get hammered and fall off. then you have to have 2 different size sockets to remove tires. we own a tire business and see this all the time...yesterday for a fact :)

You can get a set of one piece lugnuts on ebay for about $25. Black or chrome, the same profile as OEM, or you can get some skinnier nuts. You can even get more exotic nuts if you want.

Love those wheels. Wish I had a set!

I'm installing my Ravines today and the nuts didn't look right. They look like they should be bigger at the base where they contact the recess in the wheel. They measure almost 22mm at the base which is close to 7/8", and they are just shy of 1-3/4" long. I don't know if these are the original nuts, they were on the Jeep when I bought it with American Racing wheels on it. Will these work or do I need something different?

Hi, I have just fitted a "new" set of Ravines on my Golden Eagle. Had them completely restored. I had a similar query some time back. I found that the standard nuts were fine BUT don't push the rattle gun fully on the nut when finally tightening up. Just slightly pull out as the head of the gun will hit the actual wheel. This is because my standard nuts were only just deep/long enough to accommodate the thread length. I didn't want my wheels scratched!

That’s the right size and conical angle. Just make sure you get a full 6 turns if the lug nut on the threads. If you get less than that it’s not appropriate.
