Re-gearing Question

I have a 2000 tj with 2.5. Dana 30 up front and dana 35 rear. best I can tell they are 3.73. I am going to a 4.56 will there be any carrier issues? Thanks

To run 4.56 gears, you will need a new carrier for your Dana 35 axle.

Your Dana 30 should be fine without changing the carrier though I believe (someone correct me if that's wrong).

I can tell you for a fact that the front Dana 30 will not need a new carrier. I don't know about the rear Dana 35 though. I have a Dana 44 rear and was able to keep the carrier as long as I went with a thick cut ring gear.

Both carriers will work. The 30 is 3.73 and up, 35 is 3.55 and up. What size tire are you running? If anything over 31, you need lower gears.
