Im going from a 4inch lift down to stock height
I need to buy the parts i need before i go to my friends shop to tear this (jeep 2005 X )apart I only get 2 days max to do this
a 4W drive shop told me 800.00 to do the drop down to factory 2 days, no security, jeep would sit outside overnight
My Friend has a shop with a lift, I offered 200.00 and both of us tearing into it, he agreed but only 2 days of fitting me in between jobs
Id do it at home in my garage but i have NO heat

A pic of my front Bump stop--this i figure will just need a swap to stock bump stop size replacement

The rear 4inch springs on it now with bump stops
Im confused as to what im changing out on the bump stop assembly

pic of original and one in the drivers rear now I have 2 original

am i correct in assuming that when i remove the cups the 3inch tube will come off? then the cup only gets bolted back?

im buying all new cups

What is best brand Bump stops to buy? and where A link to buy the correct size for front and back would be a big help and appreciated

Thank you all for your Kindness
cheers John

All you need to do is after the springs is removed , remove the rubber bumpstop and unbolt the bumpstop cup to remove the spacer that is on top of the bumpstop cup . Reassemble without the spacer and install a new rubber bumpstop .

You'll need stock swaybar links and hardware too. Pitman arm stock? Arms?

got front rear original swaybar links
original pitman arm
original front rear springs 20,000 miles maybe
original control arms
original fender flares have the wide ones on it now (dumbo's)

basically all but the original bump stop bolts I think the 2 in the front ARE the origianls with just extended bump stop rubbers
the rear has a tube that i "THINK" doesnt belong there so assuming a longer bolt is now in there

so from what im gathering i need 2 bump stops and two Cup Bolts

and new tires 33BFG/AT's now so going with 30-31 or metric equivalent
is a daily driver/logging roads/dirt roads and snow, lots of snow here in Maine
previous owner did not put in a SYE
and Im wanting to lower it to stock then maybe next summer if i dont like it low ill go with a 2inch budget boost
