in the middle of a few projects on my 06’ TJ. Just finished a full clutch replacement, sye, TT and rear main. Now working on adding adjustable control arms, and trac bars. Figured I would check my bump stop since I’m there. My TJ has a 3” ss lift a 1.25 bl. 35” tires and rancho RS9000xl shocks on lower relocation brackets and 2”bump stop extensions. When shocks bottom out there is 3.5” of gap between the jounce cup and the lower perch and that is with already having 2” extensions. I know if I extend the top to much I will get spring pluck and that I can use the “hockey puck” method on the axel side but 3.5 hockey pucks is more then I have ever seen used and sound like a lot to me. Advice for the best way to tackle this will be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys

The shock relocation brackets tend to make the rear shocks too long. Order a rear shock with the correct compressed and extended lengths, not based on a manufacturer's lift recommendation.

Yeah, I definitely see what you’re saying. The relocation bracket did steal a few inches of up travel. I like the adjustability of the 9000’s but new shock length might be the answer.

I might try ditching the bracket and flipping my 9000 upside down?

Not all shocks can be run upside down.
Also, after you remove the brackets, you will probably need to clearance the lower coil buckets.
IMO, I wouldn't add that much bump stop. Get the proper length shocks.
