I've got a squeak or chirp going in what sounds like the rear of the jeep. I was convinced it was the centering ball so I replaced it. stupidly did not do the U joints at the same time so after the noise persisted i replaced all my u joints with replacement TW gold standard joints. with a completely rebuilt driveshaft the noise is still there. seems like it might be coming from the right side so im now suspecting an axle bearing. It seems to be rotational, under constant throttle between 25 and 60, comes and goes, not constant.

the other side has a leaky seal so I've got bearings and seals sitting in the workbench anyway.

Any other possible culprits to consider?

I've got an angle grinder but no dremel, I don't have a cold chisel. I do have a HF shop press. How bard is it to replace these things? I really don't want to nick a shaft.

A dremel is the best way to go. An angle grinder won't let you get deep enough without hitting the axle. Get a chisel, they're cheap.
