Rear fender air compressor mounting

I am trying to keep my engine bay as clutter free and open as possible, but want to install an air compressor for my on board air system. Has anyone installed an air compressor in the rear of the vehicle? (I was thinking in the rear fender well under the rear fender liner and just running the hoses from there) If you have done this before what are the downsides/do you think it was worth it.

I run duel Kleinn compressors on the underside. This is a local AZ company that makes water proof compressors. I have had good results.
Power source is from the 0/2 cable running from my Amp in the rear to a start solenoid for power.
