Rear seat picture request

I finally bought an 03 Sport. When i bought it, the rear seat wasn’t installed. I’m confused on how it's supposed to go in. I’m thinking that i have either the wrong seat, or the brackets were changed on the tub. I used to have a 99, and the rear seat looks like it came out of that one. Did they change the rear brackets at some point? A picture of a properly installed rear seat would help me out.

I have seen pictures of earlier TJ's that have different seat brackets than my 05. Mine has four rectangular brackets that each bolt to the floor of the tub with two bolts each. The seat brackets in mine do not attach to the side of the tub at all.

So my seat is most likely from an earlier model.

If the bottom front of you seat doesn’t look like the one in the 1st pictures, then yes, it’s from and earlier model.

Those are what were in TJs from 2003-2006. Do you have a photo of the seat clips that go on those brackets?

Hmmm, so could there be 3 kinds? Mine are 1 long piece. One one each side.

Could the long ones be LJ specific?

LJ seats gave more leg room, it stands to reason the seats and brackets are different from a TJ. You guys and those Long Jeeps...!

I just figured the brackets were the same, just repositioned.

I don’t have my seat installed most of the time, but I do have a small 30 inch toolbox mounted and sitting on top of the brackets.

I’m just going to check craigslist and Facebook marketplace for a replacement. The rear seats seem to come up frequently.
