how does that carrier having those damaged thread affect performance? how much are you asking?I'm going to list my slightly shipping damaged Bestop Bumper soon.
Looks like this when installed. The next 2 pics show the shipping damage. The top couple threads on the carrier bolt are damaged. There are also about 3 places where the powder coating is scraped off.

super appreciate the response. Im actually looking to spend right around the $400 dollar mark. At this time, I think I will pull the trigger on this: https://www.extremeterrain.com/redrock-4x4-rear-bumper-yj-tj-j100565.html. ($394 and its on special with a rebate = ~$364)I think it will hold just fine. I don't have a thread chaser to clean out the threads, but I can try to thread on the castle nut. Here is a pic of the castle nut fully installed. There is a cotter pin that holds the nut in place.
I was going to post the bumper for $450 on Craigslist or FBook and $400 here.

eww ratttling, def need to look into this. Thanks! The one you're looking at is a latch style and prone to rattling. Why not go with this? Then you can buy whatever quality bumper you want!
