Local club does 4 hour, hands on, your Jeep, Recovery 101 course monthly for beginners. Learned a lot about equipment and techniques. Practiced multiple types of self and assisted recoveries. They made the women participate too. Fun day.

Looks like a good time and educational. Good thing to do since most people have probably never touched their winch until it is needed.

I would love to go to an event like that.
Two of the winches installed over a year and the cable had never even been let out. Dealer did not put the oil in one, one was missing a bolt with a second bolt loose, and one remote quit working. The instructor spotted these issues.

Also learned when to use a tow strap and when to use a Bubba Rope. Angle pulls were also demonstrated.
