The counterweight spring broke on my garage door, and it weighs around 150 lbs, so I figured "I have a Jeep, the Jeep has a winch, how hard could it be?"

Haha, there you go! I tried doing this by hand once when the spring broke, and man was that a workout!

Ha ha, it was A solution, I'm not sure I'd say it was a perfect one.
I believe the technical term is a "kludge" ( /klo͞oj/ : an ill-assorted collection of parts assembled to fulfill a particular purpose.)
The yellow straps are from a Hi-Lift wheel attachment, I figured the hooks would hold the bottom of the door. They weren't wide enough to go around the bottom, so I was concerned that they might slip off. But as you can see in the video, they held long enough to get my car out of the garage....
