Has anyone ever replaced a catalytic converter on a 2.5l? do I have to sawzall after the cat? Then do I weld it back together? While Im doing this should I replace my muffler as well? Also is there a donut seal where the pipe meets the headers?

I have not replaced the cat, but I have replaced the muffler and I did have to cut it off. The replacement muffler bolted on easy enough. The cat does bolt onto the head, but not sure about a seal.
