For me it was just about the vehicle and it was a childhood dream come true. Then I noticed all the drama... @Jerry Bransford try to explain to hardheaded people on a Facebook group recently that a steering stabilizer does not fix death wobble was entertaining...and saddening). Is that the kind of thing you're referring to, or something else?
Now, I don't know if it is any different in other 4x4 communities. I have a feeling they all are full of their strong prevailing opinions. Groupthink is hard to resist. But I do wonder if, say, Toyota folks have the same drama levels.
