2003 TJ blows 10 amp fuse (#7 in glove box) . Replaced rear defrost switch, which turns out, is not the problem. Fuse blows when put into reverse. Checked all wiring in harness. Next step is to replace reverse light sensor located at transmission (5 speed manual). I'm at a loss as to why this keeps tripping.....any ideas?
Thanks!!!

I'd triple check for an unauthorized ground (fancy way to say "short circuit") in the wiring harness. Look for any worn or chafing areas. The reverse light circuit is fairly basic. Have you got led or some other type of non-stock bulbs that could be the problem? Have extra lights wired into the bumper or something?

Remove the red lense covers over your rear tail lights and pull the reverse light bulbs and look for any issues. While they're out see if the fuse still blows with the bulbs out when you shift into Reverse.
