Hello new to the forum. I also see past issues in reference to what I'm talking about, but nothing is what I'm dealing with. I feel like it is something simple, but I'm chasing issues down and nothing.

I have a 2006 Rubicon 4inch lift adjustable uppers and lowers adjustable everything that needs to be adjustable I got lol. Had a viberation that starts faint at 50mph the noticeable at 55mph goes back faint at 60moh then at 70mph it's pretty bad roaring viberation ext. I've taken it to shops and nothing. When it started I had a 2.5 inch lift on 33s with a factory drive shaft. I bought a tom woods drive shaft thinking the angle was off causing it. Didn't help at all, but I felt it wasn't as bad (could be in my head). So I had already bought the 4 inch springs and shocks and decided I would have them installed and alignment done. The shop said uppers were bad off and the axle shot back a few inches when they took them off so that was the root of the problem. It is still going on. Noticed it puking diff fluid out the vent tube so I changed that. Still doing it thought it was tire pressure I keep them pretty low like 25psi. I offroad a lot so I keep them low. Still doing it at 45psi. Nothing seems loose everything is tight. Tires of bfg k02s pretty new. I just bought this Jeep a few months ago saw the bfg balance issues thinking it was that, but I've had all that checked. Before I continue to buy upgrades for it I've got to find the root of this issue.

Forgot to add idk the brand of control arms, they are not rough country I was told rubicon express, but they are not grey so not thinking rubicon express. The 2.5 springs were rubicon express. New springs are 4inch teraflex and 4 inch bilsteins. I think diff covers are arb, that sums up all the mods other than warn winch and rigid lights which has nothing to do with anything.

Did you get a slip yoke eliminator with the driveshaft? Is the driveshaft dual cv or stock type?

Have you had both front and rear drive shafts balanced post install?

I had a vibration that was speed specific like yours and it was the front drive shaft out of balance.

Tom woods shipped it was supposed to be balanced. The front I haven't touched. Stock driveshaft. Was told during the lift install the front wasn't in a bad angle.

pull the front driveshaft off and go for a test drive under the same conditions where the vibrations manifested

I'll do it. If this is the issue I will be shocked it 100% feels in the rear end, but your not the first person who mentioned this so I'm gonna pull it and try it tomorrow. I'll let you know.

Has the vibration been there the entire time since you first got the jeep? Or only after you installed the lift? Have the axle been re-geared?

I had this issue after replacing the universals in the front drive shaft. I then had the drive shaft rebalanced and that helped slightly. I finally threw in the towel and bought a new front drive shaft from Tom Woods. With that the problem went away completely.

Dropped it back off at a shop today. Definitely coming from the rear end they said. Vibration and roaring gets better after you drive it for about 30mins which something is heating up and or loosening up making it not viberate or shake as bad after about 20 to 30 mins of driving. Thought maybe brakes sticking, but I would smell it I would think. Also to answer the question about the jeep I'm pretty sure it hasn't been regeared but again not 100% positive. Wouldn't imagine someone would re gear a rubicon just on 33s but I could be wrong they are extremely low geared from the factory. Balance question I've taken it to a shop for the works when i got it the. 2.5 inch lift was on it when I got it so it was roaring when i got it which is why it went to the shop first. Thought the issue was fixed after that, but like I said I live a mile from trails and I only drive it on Sundays so I never got it back to 65mph so didn't notice the issue. Figured since I had the 4 inch kit and the driveshaft I would just drop it off and get everything re done. Shop said they drove it 20miles with no issues (doubt it). I work and on call 24/7 so the stuff I do to the jeep is minor most the time I'm forced to drop it off or have someone drop it off for me while I'm at work. Re geared has be thinking tho I just don't see why someone would. Wheel bearings maybe? Idk they taking the front drive shaft off as well I'll let yall know.

Might be a dumb question, but does the front spin when it's not engaged? Shops are saying it doesn't. Either way I'm getting it removed. I'll order a tom woods if it gets better 100% only reason I didn't yet is because everyone telling me it shouldn't be the issue.

The front drive shaft spins due to the front axles being connected and the front tires are spinning, but the front drive shaft is not connected inside the T-case unless in 4-HI or 4-Low.

Don’t remove the drive shaft. Just disconnect it at the pinion and tie it up out of the way. Just don’t engage 4wd.
