What are the pros & cons of rock sliders that attach to the chassis and/or attach to the body?

It’s been a while since I read through that thread, but I thought you wanted them to attach to the frame rail so as not to bend the body or support The Jeeps weight on that rocker panel that wasn’t designed for it.

All you have to do is look at the highly regarded brands and see how they do it. Savvy, Genright, etc.
