Rough ride after shocks and springs

What was the change in ride height?

Somewhere 0.5" - 1". I had a masking tape marker when I started, but I pulled it off after installing the OMEs, so I don't know exactly.

I watched a survival show once that covered an Australian that went into the desert and nearly died because he used up all THREE of his spare tires and got another flat.

Incredible... but how did he survive?

Pure luck basically. He had a couple of days of water but once he ran out had to start walking. If I remember correctly either he or his young daughter were passed out in the road and they were basically waiting to die before someone randomly came across them.
