So my list would be as follows, but I am not sure the best options. Any ideas?

1. Round tail lights that don't require drilling.
2. A way to light up the license plate
3. Third brake light that is small. Might have to be homemade?

Thanks for any help. I think I am going with no spare and a cleaner look.

Nice clean TJ.... ok I'm gonna have a go at those questions
* Round tail lights are everywhere but of you want to have them sitting flush I'd say there would be some drilling involved
* one of these would do the job...although ummm more drilling

* As to the 3rd brake light Im thinking you could put one in the rear door top center....and yes more cutting haha

The good news is ruuning the wiring through the back would be pretty easy.

Could you run the liscensplate bracket and wiring through the holes you covered up with the spare delete? It's all right there anyway. Put it and the 3rd light all on the plate so if you ever change to a different look no harm was done to the Jeep itself.

I've been running without a 3rd brake light and no license plate light for several years now and actually drove across the country that way. You might be fine without but for safety make sure your brake lights work and are bright enough to get the attention of other drivers.

Pretty easy install?

and, no issues with bubbling or the LED's going out at all?

No issues. I’ve had them for 3 months or so now. I installed them in about 30 mins. Took a hammer and smacked the nutserts down a little to help the lights sit perfectly flush to the tub. Other than that, it was just cutting the factory harness and making my own connectors so I could easily remove them later on if needed.

and these are dual purpose license plate and third brake light for a center mounted license plate

You can also get plain License plate light bolts and leave your plate down by your light
