Worse yet, there's a fire that just took off on the Pacific Ranger District which is the area above Pollock Pines.

The fire is at Airport Flat near the Wentworth Springs entrance to the Rubicon Trail.

The detour would be SR89 to SR88 to M.E.T. (Mormon Emigrant Trail) to SR50

That camera is on the Bunker Hill Lookout right above Hell Hole Reservoir looking back towards Placerville, fortunately the wind is pushing it towards the King Fire scar.

I’m juggling a few things this month including regearimg my JK with lockers and selling my TJ so I can buy a TJR. Mid October would be ideal for me.

Have any of you guys ran Barker Pass trail? I'll be in Talmont for a week mid October and might run it to the intersection of the Con trail.

The Eldorado National Forest Closure Order ends September 22nd and a little bird told me they will extend it for another week so this run is officially cancelled, I'm up for an alternate if anyone is aware of one.

Same. I would like to hit Fordyce but, I think the fire there causes the same issue.
